Introductory Flights

At Big Papa Aviation we love the opportunity to provide someone with their first experience flying an airplane. Our introductory flights not only give you the opportunity to fly IN an airplane, we give you the chance to FLY the airplane. After a brief introductory ground lesson and discussion (The Brief), you will be introduced to the airplane, inside and out, to become familiar with the machine you are about to take airborne (The Preflight/Cockpit Orientation). We will then take to the skies giving you time at the controls in all phases of flight: takeoff, cruise, and landing (The Mission). Once we are back on the ground we will discuss the flight and any lessons learned (The Debrief).

A typical introductory flight will take about an hour and a half from brief to debrief.

The Brief - 15 minutes

Preflight/Cockpit Orientation - 15 minutes

The Mission - approx 45 minute flight

The Debrief - 15 minutes

These introductory flights can be gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or any special occasion. They can also be for you or someone you know to help determine the pursuit of future aviation training. All of your flight time during this introductory flight will count towards your FAA required flight time in pursuit of a private pilot certificate. You will receive a “First Flight” certificate as well as a starter student logbook to document your flight time.
